Job Title: School Attendance Officer

We are seeking an experienced School Attendance Officer to join our team at Aspire People. As a key member of our education team, you will be responsible for monitoring whole school attendance, persistent absence, and punctuality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze attendance data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Liaise with senior leadership team, heads of house, and tutors to discuss attendance concerns
  • Meet with students and parents to support them in improving attendance
  • Collaborate with education welfare officer to develop strategies for improving attendance
  • Refer students who are not meeting attendance targets
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as an Attendance Officer in schools or in a school administration role
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
