Custodian of a Historic Estate

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Domestic Cleaner.

Job Type: Part-time

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our listed building, which is used as a holiday let and private residence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning bathrooms, including restocking dispensers and sanitizing fixtures
• Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures
• Hoovering and mopping floors
• Changing linen and maintaining laundry facilities
• Emptying rubbish and recycling
• Setting up and maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies
• Monitoring and maintaining the sanitation and organization of assigned areas
• Transporting dirty linens to the laundry area and restocking clean linen

Requirements:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliability and punctuality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to lift and move cleaning equipment and supplies
• Previous experience in cleaning and housekeeping
• Driving licence and ability to commute to work

Work Location: In person, 6 miles south of Carlisle

• Experience: Cleaning: 3 years (required)
