Job Title: Site Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Technician to join our team at CJ Associates. As a Site Technician, you will be responsible for undertaking Soils, Concrete, and Bituminous testing and sampling on site at various locations and in the laboratory based in Bridgend.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site testing and sampling activities in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.
  • Plan and manage your work to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Provide effective input to projects consistent with your skills and experience.
  • Contribute to the effective operation of the laboratory by working with and supporting more senior staff.
  • Identify your internal and external training needs and participate in relevant training programs.
  • Contribute to the promotion of the company's services and participate in the general development of customer goodwill.
  • Deliver tasks for review in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements and report any unsafe acts or incidents immediately.
  • Seek advice and clarification from senior staff as needed.
  • Report to the required standards in the appropriate format and on time.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in Insitu and Laboratory Testing Activities would be advantageous.
  • The post holder will be expected to attend and pass internal and industry-recognised external training courses, including PTS, CCNSG, CSCS, CAT, First Aid, and manual handling training.
  • UK Driving License.

Personal Qualities:

  • Conduct business in a professional manner.
  • Flexible in approach to work, regarding working hours and working away from home.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and targets.
  • Prepared to work as part of a team or as an individual.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a good working relationship with all external clients and employees.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
