Job Title: Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Bias

Our client, a leading packaging manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join their engineering department. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining all reactive and scheduled maintenance on production machinery, working alongside shift engineers for breakdowns on production lines, and ensuring electrical safety and LOTO procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain all reactive and scheduled maintenance on production machinery
  • Work alongside and support shift engineers for breakdowns on production lines
  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs
  • Deal with high-speed production, processing, and packaging machinery
  • Work with PLCs, automation, control systems, VSDs, and AC Drives
  • Ensure electrical safety, LOTO, and isolation procedures are followed
  • Installation and commissioning of new machinery
Requirements:
  • NVQ or City and Guilds qualified to level 3 or higher
  • Must have worked in some form of manufacturing environment
  • Have a flexible approach to working hours, cover extra hours, and shutdowns as overtime
  • Computer literate - able to use SAP systems
  • PLC - electrical fault finding skills
  • Ideally qualified to HNC electrical engineering
