Job Purpose

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading generator specialist in the UK. You will be responsible for delivering and collecting generators and associated equipment to support the needs of the Rental, Sales, and Service Departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and collect generators for hire and sales to and from customers' sites, using a variety of vehicles in our fleet.
  • Load and offload generators and ancillary equipment in the yard and on customers' sites, ensuring equipment is located in line with customer requirements.
  • Start generators following delivery and provide customers with basic operations information.
  • Connect generators and external fuel tanks, run up generators, and check for leaks.
  • Assist customers with running out and rolling up cables on site as required.
  • Deliver fuel to customers' sites using a fuel tanker or 4x4 and bowser as needed.
  • Check and secure equipment on the lorry, ensuring it matches the relevant paperwork.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance, including washing down sets in the yard as necessary.
  • Provide call-out cover for generator deliveries or collections, refueling, or other emergency work requiring the use of a lorry or 4x4 on a rostered basis.
Requirements
  • LGV Licence (C+E) required.
  • Experience with equivalent vehicle types (rigid wagon with drawbar trailer, tractor unit with 45' flatbed trailer).
  • Digital Tachograph holder.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, with regular early starts and late finish times.
