About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join our team at SRC Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients across various industries, including property, IT, construction, professional services, and e-commerce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Lead a team of 4 bookkeepers, reviewing their work, workflow, and setting targets to meet monthly deadlines.
  • Client Management: Manage a portfolio of over 100 clients, providing bookkeeping and VAT services, including setup and training on Xero, QuickBooks, and Dext.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and budgets for clients, and conduct meetings to discuss and assist company directors with business and personal tax decisions.
  • VAT Compliance: Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring all clients are MTD compliant.
  • Accounting Expertise: Identify complex accounting and VAT transactions, and work with associates to carry out balance sheet reconciliations and accounts preparation.
  • Process Improvement: Implement new processes and software with the department partner, and roll out to the rest of the team.
  • Financial Analysis: Prepare monthly budgeting and forecast analysis for the department, and review with the department partner.

Requirements:

  • AAT Level 3 or 4 qualification.
  • 5 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
  • Good GCSE and/or A-Level results.
