Job Title: Principal Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join our team in Newmarket. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality flood risk assessments, surface water management plans, and drainage strategies for a range of clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct flood risk assessments for flood zones 1, 2, and 3
  • Develop surface water management plans and strategies
  • Design and implement surface water and foul drainage systems
  • Undertake SuDS design using Microdrainage for residential and commercial developments
  • Prepare drainage impact assessments
  • Manage and mentor junior team members and lead projects
  • Contribute to business development and promote the services of the company to new and existing clients
Requirements:
  • BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering or Hydrology
  • Experience working in a UK-based consultancy or local authority
  • Proven track record of delivering flood risk assessments, surface water management plans, and drainage strategies
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of Microdrainage
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
