Job Summary

The Senior Logistics Project Engineering Lead will lead the execution of GDLS-C supportability efforts for assigned MNG projects within the Logistics Systems and Validation (LS&V) department. This role is responsible for developing and negotiating requirements for logistics products with the Program/Customer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Logistics Project Engineering (LPE) Team and execute GDLS-C supportability efforts for assigned MNG projects.
  • Develop and negotiate requirements for logistics products with the Program/Customer.
  • Investigate and analyze project issues, propose corrective actions, and implement solutions to bring issues to resolution.
  • Maintain ongoing dialogue, task definition, and flow-down, scope and cost management, and status/reporting for all LS&V and Logistics Products Development (LPD) efforts.
  • Liaise with Integrated Product Support (IPS) functional groups to update internal/external scope and schedules.
  • Represent LE at regular customer meetings and prepare vendor sub-contracts to cover logistics effort and deliverables.

Requirements

  • University Degree or College Diploma in a technical discipline; including a minimum of 7 years' experience in a technical project management position.
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management.
  • Superior communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to provide effective leadership in meetings and travel up to 10% within Canada, 5% in the US, and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong product knowledge of LAV vehicle configurations and their related Logistics Products.
  • Understanding of logistics engineering processes and products.
  • Experience in dealing with customer performance and/or LE requirements.
  • Familiarity with principles and implementation of Contractor Logistics Support, Performance Based Logistics, and Model Based Engineering activities.
