Job Overview

Milestone Infrastructure is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our Oxfordshire Projects delivery team. As a Site Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering a wide variety of exciting highways improvement schemes throughout Oxfordshire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engineering Management
    • Manage all engineering activities, including engineering control, setting out, and providing direction to the workforce.
    • Lead Quality control systems to ensure compliance with project design and specifications.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment
    • Ensure the highest possible Health, Safety, and Environmental standards are employed across all projects.
    • Adhere to Milestone Infrastructure's health and safety policy and environmental policy.
    • Support the Injury Free Environment (IFE) culture.
  • Client Expectations and Communication
    • Meet client expectations and ensure excellent communication skills with all project stakeholders.
  • Survey and Engineering Control
    • Responsible for checking all sub-contractor and direct labor works.
  • Materials and Permits
    • Order and approve materials.
    • Assist in managing the permit process, including CAT scanning and issuing permits.
  • Record Keeping and Planning
    • Keep accurate records, including site diary, records of works activities, resource allocations, and as-built information using AutoCAD.
    • Input into collaborative planning for site work.

Requirements

  • A good level of experience in civil engineering and workforce supervision, including earthworks, drainage, structures, and highways.
  • The ability to drive excellent relationships with contacts at all levels, including clients, colleagues, and sub-contractors.
  • The ability to remain flexible in your approach to the role while embracing change and helping to drive that change through.
  • Highly organized and able to juggle priorities while multi-tasking for many stakeholders.
  • Document review, including the use of AutoCAD for planning and take-off.
  • A passion for achieving an Injury Free Environment and a commitment to caring for people's safety.
  • A drive to constantly improve performance and make the best of every situation.
