Job Title: Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant

About the Role
  • Support students in subjects like History, Geography, and Religious Studies, working closely with the school's Humanities department.
  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons, providing one-on-one and small group support to enhance student engagement and comprehension.
  • Offer tailored support for students requiring additional help in Humanities, guiding them through challenging topics and supporting their academic growth.
  • Promote independent learning practices, encouraging students to develop their analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Help prepare students for exams by reviewing material, conducting study sessions, and providing insights into effective revision strategies.
  • Contribute to a positive and productive learning environment, offering guidance and support to students on personal and academic matters.
Job Requirements
  • Recent Humanities graduate with a strong background in History, Geography, Religious Studies, or a related field.
  • Passion for teaching and the ability to inspire a love for Humanities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain concepts and support students at different academic levels.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage time and tasks to assist in lesson planning and student support.
  • Flexible and patient, with the ability to adapt to varying student needs and assist in classrooms with diverse abilities and learning styles.
