Job Title: Learning Disabilities Support Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in North West England. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enabling individuals with learning disabilities to live fulfilling lives, promoting their independence, wellbeing, and choice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities, enabling them to achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, housekeeping, and cooking, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Support individuals to access community-based services and facilities, promoting social inclusion and participation.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to ensure high-quality care and support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet the unique needs of each service user.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, preferably in a care or support setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep shifts, as required.
  • Commitment to promoting person-centred care and supporting individuals to achieve their full potential.
