Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering

At Battery NEXUS, we are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing assembly and in-process test processes and facilities to deliver safety, quality, and cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement assembly and in-process test processes and facilities to ensure safety, quality, and cost objectives are met.
  2. Plan, develop, and implement installation timing plans with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  3. Ensure robust process planning, including build simulations and PFMEAs, to identify and mitigate potential issues.
  4. Verify assembly process and equipment at suppliers and at the manufacturing facility to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  5. Manage technical issues and escalate where necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  6. Achieve equipment capability and availability targets to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
  7. Support the resolution of technical issues and provide guidance to team members as needed.
  8. Plan, develop, and implement all written processes for manufacturing and all tooling, jigs, and fixtures for manufacturing.
Qualifications:
  1. Previous experience in manufacturing or engineering processes, tools, and techniques with a hands-on approach to engineering.
  2. Experience in facility installation, project management, capability validation, commissioning, and product launch.
  3. Ability to work within cross-functional teams and flexibility to support projects from early concepts to launch.
  4. Ability to use CAD packages to review engineering drawings and models.
  5. Understanding of safe automated and manual manufacturing systems.
  6. Ability to problem-solve technical and manufacturing issues.
Desired Qualifications:
  1. Previous project management experience.
  2. Working understanding of process creation systems.
  3. Highly motivated and able to work under own initiative.
