About the Role

The UCL Eastman Dental Institute is seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Expert in Energy Systems to strengthen our research and teaching capacity. The successful candidate will significantly contribute to environmental and social life cycle assessments, evaluating the environmental impact of energy systems across their full lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive environmental and social life cycle assessments to evaluate the environmental impact of energy systems.
  • Develop and teach students to use LCA software tools for practical applications in analyzing energy systems and resource flows.
  • Collaborate with researchers from various disciplines to address complex energy and sustainability challenges.
  • Publish research in academic journals and work with industry stakeholders on sustainability projects.

About You

You should have expertise in conducting environmental and social life cycle assessments, including inventory analysis, impact assessment, and interpretation. Your knowledge of key LCA phases and materiality assessment methods is essential. You should be proficient in using LCA software tools like GaBi, OpenLCA, or SimaPro and have experience developing and delivering taught modules on relevant topics.
