Nursing Unit Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Unit Clerk to join our team at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, B.C. This is a Casual opportunity, which means you will have the flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days and evenings.

As a Nursing Unit Clerk, you will be responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties related to the operation of a patient/resident care area. This will include prioritizing, processing, and coordinating physicians' orders, acting as a communication link for the unit, and scheduling patient/resident appointments.
Key Responsibilities:- Prioritize and process physicians' orders
- Act as a communication link for the unit
- Schedule patient/resident appointments
- Assemble and maintain patient/resident charts
- Perform clerical duties, including data entry and filing
Requirements:
- Completion of Grade 12
- A current Typing Test of 40 wpm or greater completed within past 48 months from a recognized institution
- A Nursing Unit Clerk Certificate
