The Role

We are seeking a Claims Defence Lawyer to join our market-leading Local Government Practice.

As a Claims Defence Lawyer, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload and assisting senior fee earners on their cases.

Your caseload will include a mix of pre-litigated and litigated claims, including Highways Law, Occupiers Liability, Employers Liability, and Housing disrepair.

You will have the opportunity to upskill and assist on data breach claims, human rights and equality act, subsidence, and flooding cases.

About You

We are looking for a NQ-2pqe solicitor with previous claims handling experience and a genuine interest in the above area of work.

You will need to have a flexible approach to the work you do and be able to adapt to different tasks.

Preferably, you will have experience of defending litigated claims, but candidates with Claimant litigation experience will also be considered.

You will need to have excellent knowledge of the CPR and litigation.

You will also need to have the ability to influence a broad range of people, including key decision-makers.

Excellent IT, written and communication, time management, and organisation skills are essential.
