Residential Care Assistant - Dalgety Bay Care Home

Our purpose-built care home in Fife, Scotland, offers a warm and welcoming environment for 68 residents. We provide outstanding levels of Residential, Dementia, Nursing, and Respite Care.

As a key member of our close-knit care team, you'll play a vital role in promoting the values and ethos of our home. You'll help our residents with their daily routines, encourage independence, and prioritize their overall health and happiness.

We offer a competitive salary of £12.10 and a £500 welcome bonus. You'll also receive a pension, onsite parking, paid PVG, uniform provided, and 5.6 weeks of annual leave.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily routines, encouraging positive choices and independence.
  • Personalized Care: Follow and support each resident's personalized care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention.
  • Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents' health, communicate concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assist with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
  • Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued and cared for.
  • Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Safety and Comfort: Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, responding quickly to emergencies or call bells.
  • Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
  • Spread Smiles: Bring joy to our residents' lives and make them smile every day.

About You:

  • Qualifications: SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
  • Experience: Ideally, you have at least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, but we welcome those with a passion for care and transferable skills.
  • Passion: You're genuinely interested in caring for the elderly and committed to delivering excellent service.
