We are seeking an experienced Farm Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of Hanmer Farm, a breeding/finishing property located in a picturesque rural setting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the farm's resources, including feed, stock, and financial budgets, to achieve quality results.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the farm, including stock management, financial planning, and risk management.
- Lead and mentor a team of three people to grow their capability and achieve their full potential.
- Develop and implement a robust business plan to drive the farm's success.
- Monitor and analyze performance data through ag tech systems to inform decision-making.
- Ensure the farm's health and safety regime is maintained and improved continuously.
We are looking for an individual with extensive farming experience, proven leadership and stakeholder management skills, and a strong attention to detail. You will be able to use farm management technology systems and record-keeping equipment, and have effective time and people management skills. A first-class attitude to Health and Safety, Animal Welfare, and Environmental Management is essential.
