Business Analyst Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team in Belfast. As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in aligning business needs with technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Mapping & Analysis: Perform in-depth data mapping to facilitate seamless system integration. Analyze and document data flows, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.
  • XML Management: Use XML to structure, store, and transfer data between different systems. Ensure proper formatting and parsing of XML documents to support smooth business operations.
  • Requirements Gathering: Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and document detailed business and technical requirements. Partner with developers and technical teams to convert business needs into actionable functional specifications.
  • Project Support: Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects to ensure they meet business objectives. Provide ongoing analysis and support throughout the project lifecycle, including testing and validation of solutions.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Act as a key liaison between business units, technology teams, and external vendors. Deliver regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project progress, risks, and issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within the financial services sector.
  • Strong expertise in data mapping techniques and tools.
  • Proficiency in working with XML for data structuring and integration.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
