About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior/Assistant Manager to join our Private Client Tax team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, delivering accurate tax returns and advice, and building strong relationships with our clients.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of tax legislation and be able to provide technical analysis and advice to clients on matters affecting various tax issues. You will also be responsible for researching legislation, preparing and reviewing tax returns, and providing ad-hoc advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a client portfolio through the annual tax assurance process.
  • Prepare and review tax returns.
  • Provide ad-hoc advice to clients on their personal tax affairs.
  • Research and provide technical analysis on tax legislation.
  • Billing and WIP management.
  • Work with the wider Private Client Team to identify further advisory opportunities.
  • Develop and mentor junior members of the team.
Requirements
  • CTA or ATT qualified with current or recent experience in managing a personal tax assurance portfolio.
  • Strong understanding of tax legislation and technical analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong commercial approach and understanding of risk management issues.
