Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Solutions Designer to join our Business Support Team at Yorkshire Water. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving high development standards against challenging business targets.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Solution Architects in the design of our API services, including Microsoft .NET 6 (C#, ASP.NET, MVC, WCF, etc.) and MS SQL experience. They will also be required to drive change through agile teams and deliver input into triages set up to address issues raised related to design defects.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Solution Architects in the design of API services that meet functional and non-functional requirements

- Provide assistance, assurance, and governance for the quality of deliverables produced by build functions
- Influence strategic technology decisions through feedback and collaborative working with relevant Architects
- Proven experience in leading the design, development, and delivery of robust and reliable API services within a cloud environment
- Strong writing skills and experience of documenting key technical decisions and processes
- Established/proven technical experience gained in a complex and varied environment with knowledge of software and hosted architectures
- Understanding of architectural roles, domains, methodologies, and design strategies
- Commercial management of Technical Partners

Our salary is £52,124 - £65,155 per annum dependant on experience, plus annual bonus, attractive pension scheme (Up to 10% company contribution), life assurance cover of 4 times pensionable salary, and 25 days annual leave, bank holidays, plus a wellness day and development opportunities in line with the Solutions Designer progression plan.
