Bicycle Upcycling Technician

An opportunity has arisen to become a part of Angus Cycle Hub's team as a Bicycle Upcycling Technician. As a key member, you will be responsible for collecting bikes from Recycling Centres in Angus, bringing them back to our warehouse in Forfar, and upcycling or repairing them for delivery to children in need throughout Angus and Dundee.

Our Volunteer Workshop Mechanics work closely with our experienced Velotech trained mechanics and mentors, including Jason, our head Recycles mechanic, at our Arbroath base. You'll set individual goals and work towards achieving them in a supportive environment.

This role is ideal for those who enjoy hands-on work and want to learn about bike maintenance or hone their existing skills. Upon completing our Recycles Volunteer Project, you'll have the opportunity to gain an SQA certified qualification/Velotech qualification. You can pursue this certification within the project or explore other areas, such as shop servicing, Dr Bike events, and Maintenance Sessions.

• The estimated salary for this role is £20,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
