Physiotherapist for Neurosurgical Ward

We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join our team in the Neurosurgery department at a reputable hospital in Guildford. As a Physiotherapist for Neurosurgical Ward, you will work in an acute neurosurgical ward, providing comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and interventions to patients with a range of conditions, including traumatic and acquired brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, major trauma, and tracheostomies.
Responsibilities- Provide physiotherapy assessments and interventions to patients with complex needs
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team comprising occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, rehab coordinators, spinal practitioners, and nursing staff
- Manage a caseload of patients with brain and spinal injuries, including those requiring respiratory care
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote patient recovery and independence
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Experience working with neurosurgical patients
- Ability to manage a caseload of complex patients
- Experience in respiratory care, including suctioning and cough assist
- Excellent clinical reasoning and assessment skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
