This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced MOT Tester to join our team in Bedfordshire. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the roadworthiness of vehicles and maintaining the highest standards of service delivery.
Job DescriptionIn this role, you will be responsible for inspecting vehicles to determine their roadworthiness, following Ministry of Transport and DVSA test guidelines, and fitting various vehicle components. You will also be required to clean vehicle inspection bays and carry out vehicle quality control checks.
ResponsibilitiesSome of the key responsibilities of this role include:
- Inspection of vehicles to determine roadworthiness
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with Ministry of Transport and DVSA test guidelines
- Replacing brake pads and exhaust systems
- Installing new tyres
- Repairing or replacing seatbelts
- Checking and topping up vehicle fluids
- Replacing timing belts and clutches
- Ensuring all vehicle inspection bays are clean and tidy
- Conducting regular vehicle quality control checks
- Recording vehicle emission test results
- Scheduling annual MOT training sessions

To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A full Driving Licence with no more than nine points
- A team player willing to assist in workshop carrying out light vehicle maintenance, when not performing MOT's
