  • Negotiate with vendors to build positive, long-term relationships, driving cost savings and improving supply chain efficiency.
  • Research new suppliers and make recommendations to the buyer, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare competitive retail and pricing strategies, analyzing market data and consumer behavior.
  • Plan, monitor, and maintain suitable inventory levels, minimizing stockouts and overstocking.
  • Prepare budgets and forecast purchasing trends, providing insights to inform business decisions.
  • Compile reports on product performance and statistics, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.

Requirements:

  • Degree in business, economics, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the merchandising or retail industry is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills are essential.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills are required, with the ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.
  • Experience with merchandising software systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary.
