Education Autism Practitioner

Warton, United Kingdom Outcomes First Group Full time
About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Autism Practitioner to join our team at Underley Garden School, part of Options Autism. As a key member of our close-knit team, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with complex needs associated with autism and learning disabilities.

As an Education Autism Practitioner, you will work closely with our pupils, helping them to develop their skills and achieve their full potential. You will be responsible for preparing learning materials, running classroom activities, and providing emotional and physical support to our students.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting vulnerable pupils and young people to live happy, fulfilling lives. You will be adaptable, responsive, and caring, with a willingness to work in a variety of classroom roles, both indoors and outside.

About Us

Underley Garden School is a large school with small class sizes, focusing on pupils and young people aged 5-19 with complex needs associated with autism and learning disabilities. We adopt a holistic, person-centred approach to the development of our young people, aiming to make a positive difference to their personal, social, and learning lives.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils and young people. All applicants will be subject to social media checks and successful applicants to a fully enhanced DBS.

What We Offer

We offer a comprehensive reward package, including life assurance, a pension scheme, and access to a wide range of first-class mental health support services and physical health checks. You will also have access to a market-leading benefit offering through our Flexible Benefits Platform, Vista, enabling you to choose the package that's right for you.

In addition, you will enjoy a range of school benefits, including birthday chocolates, gift vouchers, and team building days. We also offer an attendance incentive and a 'Go Green Initiative' to encourage car sharing and reduce our carbon footprint.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with a GCSE C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths, although experience is not necessary. You will be required to undertake personal care duties to support our students and will need to have a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

We are committed to providing full training and development to ensure your success in this role. If you are passionate about supporting vulnerable pupils and young people, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
