About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our team at The Malone Hotel. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the preparation and presentation of all food to an exceptional standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistency of all food leaving the kitchen, organizing all food for service, and maintaining sufficient backup supplies.
  • Assist the Head Chef in maintaining food percentage through control of wastage, storage, and portion control.
  • Receive and store all food commodities and related supplies in accordance with Company guidelines.
  • Ensure Company profitability through economic use of food, efficient stock rotation, and energy conservation.
  • Assist the Head Chef in training, motivating, and guiding kitchen staff to achieve the best results in staff morale and efficiency.
  • Maintain a high level of cooperation with all other departments in the hotel.
  • Ensure the efficient and effective use of all resources.
  • Report all complaints, breakages, accidents, repairs, and equipment faults to the Head Chef.

Requirements:

  • One year's experience working in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of the Hospitality industry.
  • Ideally, you will have NVQ level 1 or 2 in food preparation and cooking or equivalent.
  • Hold a basic food hygiene certificate.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Guidelines.
  • Great customer service skills.
  • A 'Can-Do' approach.
