Sickle Cell Disorder Specialist

We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Clinical Psychologist to make a difference in the lives of individuals with sickle cell disorder and other rare anaemias. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
About the Team
Our team provides psychological care for individuals with sickle cell disorder and other rare anaemias. We work closely with haematology doctors, nurses, and other allied health professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in providing specialist psychological assessments, support, and intervention/therapy to patients. You will also have the opportunity to establish new aspects of the role, including a focus on adolescent transition to adult care and supporting service users in the community.
Key Requirements
To be successful in this Clinical Psychologist role, you must possess a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or an equivalent entry-level qualification in Applied Psychology accepted by the HCPC for professional registration. You should also have additional training or substantial experience in Clinical Health Psychology through formal postqualification training or a combination of specialist short courses and an evidenced portfolio of supervised practice-based learning. A completed training course in clinical supervision is essential, as is being registered with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist and evidence of continuing professional development required by the HCPC.
