About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and forward-thinking service that provides psychological intervention, consultation, supervision, and training across a diverse range of physical health specialists. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team (MDT) colleagues to deliver high-quality psychological care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions to patients with complex physical health conditions.
  • Offer advice, consultation, and training to non-psychologist colleagues and non-professional carers on patients' psychological care.
  • Work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the Psychology Department's policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to audit, policy, and service development and research within the Department of Psychology.
  • Participate in complex MDT clinics and provide specialist supervision to nursing, counselling, and other colleagues on psychological aspects of care.
Person Specification
  • Doctoral degree or equivalent qualification in Clinical, Counselling, or Health Psychology.
  • Full registration with the Health Professions Council.
  • Eligible for Chartered Status with the British Psychological Society or equivalent body.
  • Formal training in supervision.
