Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for completing refurbishment projects on critical and data centre facilities, including the replacement of old and worn mechanical plant room equipment. This will involve:

  • Water services and feeds, drainage systems, pumps and valves, coolant pipes, ventilation, and pipework installation and maintenance.
  • Fitting out refurbished areas within the facility with water, heating pipework, and drainage pipework and services.
  • Performing ad-hoc and remedial tasks as required.
  • Overlapping with other mechanical engineers on CRAC, AHU, and fan coil systems where necessary.

Requirements:

  • A suitable mechanical, plumbing, or pipefitting City and Guilds or equivalent qualification is required for this role.
  • Experience in pipefitting and installation projects, particularly in plant room environments and commercial-grade buildings.
  • A valid CSCS card and driving license are essential.
  • Ability to work away from home and willingness to travel.
  • Desirable qualifications include IPAF and working at heights certifications, although training will be provided by the client as needed.
