Protein Characterisation Specialist

Lonza is a global leader in life sciences operating across five continents. We are seeking an outstanding Lead Scientist to join our team based in Slough, UK. As a key figure in our laboratory, you will be responsible for planning and executing analytical testing on therapeutic proteins to support product characterisation, biocomparability, and other appropriate studies.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in protein characterisation methods, including RP, SEC, icIEF, and LC MS/MS. They will also possess strong leadership skills, enabling them to lead major or complex work/projects simultaneously and ensure scientific objectives and timelines are met.

In addition to their technical expertise, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, allowing them to effectively collaborate with peers across teams and communicate with external customers to demonstrate Lonza's scientific credibility and grow relationships.
