Job Overview
Morson Talent is partnering with a top aerospace client in the Barrow area to recruit a skilled In-Situ Machinist. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work on-board submarine units, conducting machining activities using best-suited machines.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting machining activities in accordance with skills and quality requirements. This includes working to drawing tolerances, operating Line Boring and Gantry Milling Machines, and achieving surface finishes. The ideal candidate will have experience in In-situ Machining Competence, supported by Skills Knowledge and Experience. All work conducted must adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess problem-solving skills, be able to communicate thoughts and ideas clearly, demonstrate initiative, and earn trust through openness and honesty. They should also have experience in working safely, using measuring equipment, understanding unit of measurements, knowledge of speeds and feeds for various materials, identifying correct tooling, and use of hand tools. Additionally, they should be aware of Dreadnought cleanliness and material segregation requirements, flange facing operations, line boring operations, in-situ milling operations, pipe cutting/Bevelling operations, journal turning, key milling, and served/approved apprenticeship or NVQ level 3 equivalent qualification.

About the Team
You will be working in a team of between 10-12 people, contributing to the achievement of project goals and objectives.
