Warehouse Logistics Specialist

Are you a skilled logistics professional looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a Warehouse Logistics Specialist to join our team at Knowles Transport. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our warehouse function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking delivery of goods and supplies
- Storing of goods
- Picking of goods
- Preparation of stock
- Loading of stock by hand, pump truck or forklift
- Keep accurate records of stocks
- Assisting with stock taking as and when required
- Keeping warehouse and work area clean and tidy through use of chemicals and non hazardous equipment
- Use of the correct methods for manual handling
- Use of automatic wrapper to correct procedure
- Completion of relevant paperwork
- Correct completion of the picking and unloading paperwork and IT based systems
- Ensuring cleanliness of stock and warehouse (this includes cleaning spillages and damages as they happen or on discovery)
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional to join our team at Knowles Transport. As a Warehouse Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, including receiving and storing goods, picking and packing orders, and maintaining accurate records. You will also be working closely with our transportation team to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of goods.
What You'll Need:
- A minimum of 1 year's experience in a warehouse environment
- Fork Lift Truck Certificate, Counterbalance, Pivot, Flexi/Bendi trucks – Desirable: (MEWP) Scissor Lift Certificate
- Ability to work as assigned in either office or warehouse environments
- Professional in appearance
- Diligent attention to detail and attention to safety of themselves and others around the workplace
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with Customers and Co-Workers
- Highly organised, self-sufficient and able to work on own initiative and to tight deadlines
- Flexible in approach to work and adaptable to fit into different teams and environments
- Confident and approachable
- Chemical and Manual Handling Trained Desirable but not essential as training will be given
- Must hold a full UK driving licence and have own transportation to work
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 18:00 and 18:00 - 06:00, with days off during the week.
Location: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.
