Purchase Ledger Clerk Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our team at Venture Recruitment Partners. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with VAT regulations, and providing excellent customer service to our suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and record invoices, credit notes, and other financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Verify and correct coding of invoices to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Resolve any queries or discrepancies with suppliers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Reconcile suppliers' statements and maintain a clean and accurate purchase ledger.
  • Process payment runs and ensure timely payment to suppliers.
Requirements:
  • Strong experience in Purchase Ledger or a related field.
  • Good practical understanding of VAT rules and regulations.
  • Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
