The Manual Miller role at CNC Precision involves setting and operating milling machines to manufacture one-off and small batch components. The ideal candidate will be time served and possess skills in setting and operating universal milling machines, fine boring, and using rotary tables and dividing heads.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting and operating milling machines to manufacture components
- Operating universal milling machines, including Bridgeport, Butler, and Elgamill
- Fine boring and using rotary tables and dividing heads
- Working to fine limits using digital readouts
- Good understanding of cutting technology, speeds, and feeds
- Experience cutting a diverse range of materials
- Reading and understanding technical drawings and basic GD&T
- Working under own initiative and possessing good problem-solving skills
- Using basic measuring equipment
- Good health and safety awareness
The successful candidate will receive a generous negotiable package, including a salary of £17.50-£18.50 per hour, subject to experience, as well as 25 days + 8 statutory days holiday per year and a pension scheme.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 07:30-16:30, and Friday, 07:00-13:00, with overtime paid at time and one-third midweek, time and one-half on Saturday, and double time on Sunday.
