This role offers an excellent opportunity to work as a Management Accountant in a dynamic finance team at our site in Canary Wharf. As part of our finance team, you will support the Finance Manager and their deputy, as well as service area teams, demonstrating accounting and business knowledge, analytical support and clear presentation of highly complex or contentious financial and business information to clinical and non-clinical colleagues.

The post holder will constructively and positively challenge all aspects of service area financial and business performance and financial management processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. You will be responsible for producing monthly budget statements and financial reports for agreement with the HoF for presentation at service area board meetings and to feed into the Trust's position for internal and external corporate reporting.

The ideal candidate will have experience of financial management using accounting principles, use of finance systems, experience of reconciliations, reporting, and monitoring processes while maintaining accurate and detailed records. They will also have up-to-date knowledge of NHS Developments and Finance policies, and related knowledge about NHS funding and regulations.

We offer a competitive salary package, including a basic salary of approximately £43,141 per annum, plus benefits such as annual leave, pension scheme and access to training and development opportunities.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be able to work under pressure, meet conflicting deadlines and demonstrate a commitment to personal development. You will also need to be professional, pro-active and self-motivated with excellent numerical, written and verbal skills, and ability to explain and interpret financial information to non-finance managers.
