Job Description & Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team at S1R (Trading as Staff One) as a Technical Director. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to the design team, as well as managing pricing and contract matters from tender stage to build stage.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring produced designs are accurate, technically correct, deliverable, and fully costed
  • Pricing tenders in line with project brief, building parameters and submitted designs
  • Presenting costs to clients
  • Pre-contract programming and compliance with building, planning, and building control regulations

You will be able to demonstrate 5+ years experience in a commercial pre-contract role, ideally in a design and build environment. You will be passionate and engaging in your approach, promote positive cultures and behaviours, and commercially manage projects to the highest standard.

We are looking for a qualified professional who is able to work collaboratively with the design team and provide technical support and guidance. You will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of building regulations, planning, and building control regulations, as well as a commercial acumen and ability to manage projects to the highest standard.
