Commissioning Officer (Performance Management)

Join Norfolk County Council as a Commissioning Officer in our innovative Performance Management team within Integrated Commissioning, Children's Services.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to work closely with commissioners to ensure high-quality services are delivered by external providers, improving outcomes for Norfolk's children and young people.

The successful candidate will have strong IT, process, research, analysis, reporting, and project management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders.

As a Commissioning Officer, you will be part of a small, supportive team and will be involved in a wide range of projects and services, using your creativity and knowledge to promote and embed best practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with commissioners to ensure high-quality services are delivered by external providers
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of commissioning strategies and plans
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of external providers
  • Identify and implement opportunities for service improvement
