Theatre Nurse/Surgical Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team within the Ophthalmology Directorate. The successful candidate will be based at the new South East Wales Regional Ophthalmology Centre, Llanwenarth Suite, Nevill Hall Hospital, with the expectation of working at different locations across Aneurin Bevan University Health Board to support Ophthalmology services.
The Regional Ophthalmology Centre will provide a fully integrated pre-admission and treatment centre, offering cataract surgery for patients from Cwm Taff, Cardiff and the Vale and Aneurin Bevan geographical areas.
Main Duties- The post holder will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidenced-based nursing care, working collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.
- To participate in the education, development and supervision of other staff members.
- To act in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
