Key Responsibilities:

  • Client and Regulator Liaison: Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Report Writing: Prepare and review Flood Risk Assessments and SuDS Assessments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing relationships with potential clients and promoting the Flood Risk and Drainage Team.
  • Project Management: Oversee a range of projects, including work winning, budgetary control, and liaison with the wider team to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Mentor and Training: Provide guidance and support to junior staff, promoting their development and encouraging them to pursue chartership in their field.

Requirements:

  • Strong Bachelor's Degree: A degree in a relevant field, such as civil engineering or environmental science.
  • Consultancy or Industry Experience: Well-established experience in Flood Risk Assessments and SuDS Assessments, preferably in a consultancy or industry setting.
  • Flood Risk Assessment Expertise: Substantial experience in undertaking Flood Risk Assessments in accordance with NPPF (and/or TAN 15).
  • Regulatory Knowledge: A good understanding of the workings of the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales, and Lead Local Flood Authorities.
  • Planning Policies and Procedures: Up-to-date knowledge of current planning policies and procedures, and the ability to utilize them to maximize service offerings while gaining required approvals.
  • Full UK Driving Licence: A valid full UK driving licence.
