About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a secondary school in the Farnborough area. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the academic and personal development of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized support to students, including those with complex learning difficulties, to ensure they receive the necessary attention and guidance for their academic development.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to help plan and deliver lessons in various subjects, creating an environment where every student feels encouraged and empowered to succeed.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment both within the school and during out-of-school activities, adhering to the school's Health and Safety policy and procedures.
  • Represent the school positively within the community, maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information encountered during duties.
  • Supervise and manage pupil behaviour throughout the school day, including lunchtime and breaks, in accordance with school policies and individual behaviour management plans.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as Support Staff or in a similar role within an educational setting is desirable.
  • Experience with SEN pupils is an asset.
  • A passion for education and supporting students' academic and personal development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards challenges.
