We are seeking a talented Learning Support Assistant to join our team at The Mews School in Wem, Shropshire. This is a permanent position, offering 40 hours per week, term time only.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with young people aged 11-18 who have special educational needs, supporting them in achieving their goals and developing essential life skills.

About the Role

In this role, you will assist in creating an inspiring and organised learning environment, ensuring every student feels included and valued. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students with special educational needs in academic and personal development.
  • Collaborating with teachers to develop effective lesson plans and strategies.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strong understanding of SEND and SEMH requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Punctuality, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to use own initiative.
