Job Title:

Anesthetics Lead Practitioner - Theatre Management Expert

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Anesthetics Lead Practitioner to join our team at Daytime Healthcare. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading the Anaesthetic service, providing leadership and management to the team, and ensuring the provision of safe and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Theatre Management: To manage and lead the Anaesthetic service on a continual basis, manage theatre porters, support the Ward Managers, Theatre Suite and Enhanced Care Unit.
  • Leadership and Management: Provide leadership, management, supervision and support to the team.
  • Patient Care: Assist in the planning and delivery of individualised, safe, effective and evidence based patient care.
  • Environment and Maintenance: Ensure the provision of a welcoming, caring and safe environment for patients, maintaining equipment asset register and ensuring maintenance.
  • Budget Management: Contribute to the effective budget management of the departmental clinical area.
  • Staffing Levels: Identify safe staffing levels and adjust staffing levels to avoid under or over staffing.
  • Business Planning: Assist the Head of Theatres and/or Deputy Head of Theatres in the business planning process.
  • Administrative Tasks: Organise own work and that of others, give direction to all members in theatre, orientate new staff, and report failure or mechanical problems of any items in line with Hospital Policy.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of theatre experience and possess excellent leadership and management skills. They will also have strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary:

£60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
