About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Combustion Engineer to join our team at Government Facility Services Ltd. As a key member of our Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair heating systems, including gas combustion equipment
  • Ensure compliance with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
  • Work to Gas safe (installation and use) regulations 1998 and associated industry Standards
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality maintenance services
  • Contribute to a safe and secure environment for all

Requirements

  • Two years' experience working in a role as a heating engineer, a combustion engineer, or equivalent
  • Familiarity with and ability to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
  • Familiarity with and ability to work to Gas safe (installation and use) regulations 1998 and associated industry Standards
  • Experience of working with commercial catering gas appliances
  • Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating), and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
  • CCN1 - Core domestic gas safety and relevant domestic appliance units
  • COCN1 - Core commercial gas safety certificate and relevant commercial units
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills
