Commodity Acquisition Specialist

Job Overview: We are seeking a Commodity Acquisition Specialist to join our team at Rapiscan Systems in Stoke-On-Trent, England. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the strategy for buying commodities and develop a highly capable and cost-effective supply base.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supplier selection, negotiations, terms and conditions, sourcing decisions, competitiveness, and performance management. You will also ensure that requirements are met on time and in accordance with quality standards.

This role entails operating at a management level with a high degree of autonomy, while managing, mentoring, and developing an effective commodity team response globally. Delivering cost-effective solutions for our cargo sites is a key aspect of this role.

You will define and own the capability, strategy, and operational excellence of your assigned commodities. Develop key innovation sourcing activities, promote risk-aware sustainable procurement, enhance the capability of the procurement teams, and promote the procurement function internally and externally.
