Job Opportunity: Freelance Delivery Driver

Menzies Distribution is seeking a skilled and reliable Freelance Delivery Driver to join our team in a self-employed capacity. As a Freelance Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering products to customers across a 7-day operation, utilizing your own vehicle and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Packing and loading products onto your vehicle for delivery
  • Delivering products to customers on a daily basis, with a minimum of 20-40 deliveries per day
  • Loading unsold products back onto your vehicle and returning to the depot
  • Ensuring all products are delivered on time and in good condition

Requirements:

  • A valid UK/EU/EEA driving license
  • A 3.5-tonne van (Transit or similar) in good working condition
  • Goods In Transit Insurance
  • Public Liability Insurance
  • Hire and Reward Insurance
  • No previous disqualifications NI, DD or DR
  • Physical fitness to meet the demands of a multi-drop driving role
  • A hardworking, positive, and flexible attitude to work

Important Considerations:

  • You must be in a financial position to lease or purchase a 3.5-tonne vehicle (Transit or similar) if you do not currently own one
  • You will need to have all necessary insurances (Goods in Transit, Public Liability & Hire and Reward) in place prior to starting
  • Financial considerations include van deposit, first month's rental, and commercial insurances
