Mental Health Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in supporting children and young people with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to individuals with mental health conditions, both in residential settings and within the community.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Build trusting relationships with clients, offering emotional support and encouragement.
- Support clients in developing coping strategies, life skills, and accessing community resources.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- Monitor and document client progress, reporting any concerns to senior staff or healthcare professionals.
- Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all clients.
About You:
- Previous experience in a mental health support role for at least 6 months.
- Any restraint training/violence prevention training qualifications are desirable but not required.
- Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care or Mental Health (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3) are an advantage.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic with a strong commitment to supporting individuals with mental health needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with sensitivity.
- A proactive and positive approach to supporting service users.
- A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential.
