Civil Engineering Quantity Surveyor - Leadership Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team as a Civil Engineering Quantity Surveyor. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious professional to take on a leadership role in our Commercial Department.

About the Company:

Our client is a well-established £50m turnover Civil Engineering Contractor with a strong reputation in the North West region. With a high percentage of projects based in Liverpool, Manchester, and Warrington, we offer a unique blend of commercial expertise and local knowledge.

The Role:

This challenging and rewarding role will see you working closely with our Commercial Director and project teams to manage commercial aspects of multiple projects. As a Civil Engineering Quantity Surveyor, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maximising commercial returns while maintaining positive client relationships.
  • Protecting contractual positions by ensuring all obligations are discharged appropriately.
  • Taking active responsibility for commercial procedures in conjunction with the Commercial Director.
  • Managing commercial aspects relating to projects, achieving the highest standards and maintaining our company's strong reputation.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience at a similar level as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a civil engineering/groundworks contractor.
  • A passion for work, commitment to excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • The ability to build trust and confidence through open communications and informing colleagues about issues that will affect their role.
  • Generates new relationships easily and is committed to generating new business opportunities.
  • Must be organised and prioritise own work to deliver on time through managing time effectively.
  • Able to delegate effectively.
  • A high level of attention to detail.
