About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Control Assistant Manager to join our Finance team at Sainsbury's Bank. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing financial activities for specific products and services, ensuring accurate balance sheet substantiation and reconciliation controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the financial close process for specific products and services, ensuring balance sheet substantiation and reconciliation controls are in place.
  • Support the preparation of monthly management reports, contribute to the design and implementation of financial processes and controls for business change initiatives.
  • Provide analysis and disclosures for the Bank's monthly management accounts and Group consolidation packs.
  • Collaborate closely with the team to assist in the preparation of IFRS financial statements, support external audit processes, and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Expertise in finance operations, reporting, and control gained from industry or practice.
  • A meticulous approach to managing daily interfaces, journal preparation, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements.
  • An analytical mindset and attention to detail to support the production of management reports, provide insightful analysis, and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes.
  • Excellent organisational abilities, the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, and be a collaborative team player with strong relationship management skills.
