About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Premier Healthcare, a leading provider of residential children's services. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of our 3-bedroom children's home in Canvey Island, providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children aged 7-18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Home Manager in the overall management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are maintained.
  • Lead a team of staff, providing guidance, support, and supervision to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Develop and implement individual care plans, working closely with children, young people, and their families to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care and support, making recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Level 3 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services, or equivalent.
  • 3 years' experience working with children in the last 5 years, with a minimum of 1 year's experience in a management role.
  • Supervision or management experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care and support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, young people, and their families.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleepovers.
