Job Title: Apprentice Internal Auditor

Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding role in a dynamic organization? Do you have a passion for audit and risk management? We are seeking an Apprentice Internal Auditor to join our team at Bristol City Council.

About the Role:

As an Apprentice Internal Auditor, you will work closely with our experienced team to conduct audits of internal directorates and external contracts. You will be responsible for reviewing internal control, risk management, and governance arrangements, and identifying areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audits of internal directorates and external contracts
  • Review internal control, risk management, and governance arrangements
  • Identify areas for improvement and recommend changes
  • Work closely with management teams to implement changes

Requirements:

  • AAT qualified or studying towards a CCAB/IIA qualification
  • Relevant qualification in a subject such as compliance, IT, risk, project management, procurement, or a financially related field
  • Experience of working in an audit or financial management role
  • Good knowledge of modern approaches to audit, internal control, and risk management
  • Comprehensive IT skills
